PowerDry™ Drying System

U.S. Metric

Paxton’s PowerDry™ Drying System sets the standard for complete blow-off cleaning and drying systems. This affordable system uses significantly less energy than a compressed air system (or thermal processes) while outperforming them in every possible way. The PowerDry™ System was specifically developed as an affordable, quick-to-install alternative to many compressed air nozzles, jets, pipe manifolds, and other common devices.

The PowerDry™ System’s high velocity airflow shears off moisture on bottles, cans, jars or other containers, giving a clean, dry surface for quality coding and eliminating moisture-related packaging issues. It’s a complete, ready-to-use unit that efficiently delivers substantial air power to replace several blow-off devices for big savings. With your choice between an Inline Manifold and a Spyder Manifold, you can be sure that you’re reaching maximum versatility to clean and dry those hard-to-reach areas.

Paxton Products Used:

  • PX-200 Centrifugal Blower
  • Air Delivery Device made of Polypropylene or 304 Stainless Steel
  • Air Delivery Device (choose one):
    • Inline Manifold: features six nozzles that target the tops of cans, jars, bottles and other products
    • Spyder Manifold: features six inline nozzles with four flexible “spider” arms that adjust in order to bend and reach under and around hard-to-reach areas
  • Polypropylene Blower Enclosure
  • 304 Stainless Steel Mounting Arm

Benefits:

  • Effectively removes debris and moisture with high velocity air flows
  • Eliminates contamination from oils and debris (from compressed air)
  • Saves up to 80% of total energy consumption – return on investment often is less than a year
  • Speeds conveyor lines up to 50% while reducing loss rates
  • Adjusts easily for quick product and container size line changes
  • Adapts to any conveyor or line speed up to 500-600 cans per minute
  • Quick to install and replaces most compressed air nozzles, jets, pipe manifolds and orifices
  • Rugged Polypropylene Blower Enclosure for washdown capability and noise abatement
  • Low maintenance

The In-line Manifold is ideal for drying the tops of cans and other containers thoroughly, prior to date coding or other packaging operations. The In-line manifold has six nozzles focused on the top surface of the product and is available with either a polypropylene manifold or a 316 stainless steel manifold, both with Loc-Line nozzles. The In-line system is designed for drying the tops or bottoms only of cans or jars and other products using six in-line flexible nozzles.

The spyder manifold is the most effective system for drying tops, sides and under the rim of cans, bottles and jars. It combines the six nozzles of the Inline manifold with four additional “spyder-like” arms that flex to any position to accommodate your specific drying needs. It quickly adjusts to different sizes and shapes, for multi-purpose lines. The spyder manifold has six in-line plus four flexible, adjustable nozzles that bend and reach under and around.
