Solutions for Craft Brewing

Paxton Products has a wide variety of drying and air rinsing systems that meet the unique needs of the craft brew industry. For a brewery venturing into automation, the versatile PowerDry™ Drying System dries both bottles and cans for date coding or labeling. Later, as the brewery expands, Paxton drying systems can grow with it, easily managing higher production volumes and increased line speeds. For bottle and can rinsing, Paxton’s Ionizing Bottle and Can Rinsing Systems eliminate the need for water rinsing, while being highly energy efficient.

All Paxton air systems are custom-engineered, including air delivery devices specific to the application – whether drying for date coding or labeling; or rinsing the inside of bottles and cans prior to filling. We couple the air delivery devices with a high efficiency PX-Series Centrifugal Blower sized to provide the precise volume and pressure of air needed; and we back the blower with an industry-leading full, three-year warranty.

Benefits:
  • Reduced energy consumption (and costs) by eliminating compressed air -> Paxton blowers use only 20% of the energy that an air compressor does
  • Improved sustainability through reduced water usage, and corresponding sewage costs
  • Improved quality of beer by reducing the amount of dissolved oxygen in the beer through the use of ionized air
  • Increased line speeds and reduced downtime
  • Reduced product quality rejects due to labels not adhering properly
  • Low maintenance, easy installation
  • Reduced risk of microbiological growth caused by moisture in water rinsing
  • Large installed customer base in the craft brewing industry

Paxton Products Used:
  • PowerDry™ Drying System -> Paxton's patented drying system, developed as an energy saving alternative to compressed air, is a complete, ready-to-use unit that efficiently delivers substantial air power to replace several blow-off devices and can be adapted for date coding and labeling applications
    • Configure your system with either an Inline Manifold or a Spyder Manifold to ensure that you're reaching maximum versatility in your drying operations
  • Ionizing Bottle Rinser -> eliminate the static charges in the bottles that cause dirt and dust to adhere to surfaces, and then blasts the dirt and dust out of the bottle, leaving it clean and ready to fill, without the need for water rinsing
  • Ionizing Can Rinser -> eliminate the static charges in the bottles that cause dirt and dust to adhere to surfaces, and then blasts the dirt and dust out of the can, leaving it clean and ready to fill, without the need for water rinsing
  • CapDryer -> an all-in-one drying manifold used for targeted drying of the bottle cap, neck, and throat of bottles ranging from 8 oz - 3 liters
  • Air Knives -> Paxton Air Knives feature a continuous, uninterrupted air slot design that delivers uniform air coverage over targeted areas with a standard gap setting of 0.055 inches; can be used for drying the sides of bottles prior to labeling, or drying cans on a mass conveyor
  • PX-Series Centrifugal Blower - belt-driven, centrifugal air blower powers all air delivery devices and systems
  • Centrifugal Blower Enclosures -> constructed of polypropylene, used to protect your centrifugal blower from water, dirt, and other environmental factors in production facilities.
